Winter weather wreaked havoc on the morning commute as dozens of accidents occurred on Wichita streets.

Several slide off and stalled cars could be seen on major highways and interstates. One truck rolled over, and came to rest against a fence, in a ditch near I-235 and 25th St.

At least eight cars, and a school bus, were involved in an accident on eastbound Kellogg near I-135. No serious injuries were reported.

A woman escaped injuries after her car rolled into a creek near 151st St. W. and K-96. Authorities say the driver lost control on an icy patch, hit a fence, and rolled the vehicle into the creek. A couple of witnesses managed to help the woman get out of the vehicle. She was not seriously hurt, but was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan, or EARP, remains in effect for Wichita. If you are involved in an accident, and no drugs or alcohol were involved, drivers are asked to exchange information and fill out a police report.
