A band of snow is moving through part of south central Kansas, including the Wichita area, and has led to several accidents.
The National Weather Service has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Sedgwick, Butler, Cowley, Kingman, Reno and Sumner Counties.
The weather has also resulted in accidents in some areas of Wichita, primarily on elevated roadways. Drivers are asked to avoid Kellogg at I-235 and further west at Maize Road due to accidents.
The snow began falling around 11:30 in Sedgwick County. Visibility is low in several areas.
