Flooding Strands Wilmington Motorists

Heavy rains caused flash flooding across parts of North Carolina on Monday.
Wilmington received between 4 and 7 inches of rainfall in just a few hours, causing widespread flooding in this popular coastal city. The flooding caught many motorists off guard as they became stranded in floodwaters and had to be rescued. The flooding also forced evacuations of some homes and businesses. No injuries were reported.
