The peak time for tornadoes in Kansas is approaching, and records show that June 10 is the most likely date for a twister to strike in the Sunflower State.
In the past 50 years, at least one twister has touched down on that date 22 times, six more times than any other date.
May 4 and May 5 are also big dates for Kansas tornadoes.
