WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested a second suspect in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man on the city's north side last week.

Sedgwick County Jail records show 41-year-old Tyree Jackson was booked Tuesday afternoon for first-degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm. He was held on $750,000 bond Wednesday morning.

Charges against Jackson were filed Tuesday, according to court records, and he made his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon. A charging document accuses him of shooting from a vehicle and killing Jaden Wilson. His next court date is scheduled for April 5.

The shooting happened at around 5:30 p.m. last Thursday near 21st Street North and Grove. WPD spokesperson Andrew Ford said police arrived to find Wilson outside a gold Buick. He'd suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was pronounced dead minutes later.

Police said previously that a 17-year-old boy was also arrested in connection to Wilson's death. Ford said Wilson and the teen suspect knew each other and that the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute.

The teen suspect surrendered to law enforcement at the Sedgwick County Jail shortly after the shooting and was booked into juvenile detention for first-degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm.
