Hutch police arrest convicted felon with drugs, guns and cash

Authorities in Hutchinson have arrested a convicted felon on drug and firearm charges. 

Tanner Edwards, 25, was arrested in the 100 block of West 10th Avenue after an investigation was conducted into the home. Edwards was already on parole for convictions that included Assault on law enforcement, possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.

During the search, authorities found cocaine, Xanax, and marijuana in amounts meant for distribution. Edwards was also had three loaded handguns and over $1,000 believed to be drug money. 

Edwards was arrested on charges including:

  • Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to distribute
  • Possession of Xanax with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Paraphernalia with intent to distribute
  • 3 counts of felon in possession of a firearm

State Parole also placed an arrest and detain order on Edwards.
