Missing Kansas teen and infant found safe

McPHERSON, Kan. (KAKE) -

A runaway teenager and her infant daughter have been located nearly two weeks after they were reported missing.

According to a flyer posted by Kansas Missing & Unsolved Monday night, 17-year-old Deeka Wing and 2-month-old Braelynn Machado were found safe. 

The McPherson Police Department said the case was classified as a runaway.

Authorities need the public's help in locating a runaway teenager and an infant with her.

A flyer on the Kansas Missing & Unsolved Facebook page says 17-year-old Deeka Wing and 2-month-old Braelynn Machado were last seen in McPherson on Wednesday, October 16. They are believed to be in the Hillsboro area. 

Deeka Wing's stands 5-foot-5, weighs 185 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes. Braelynn Machado weighs 11 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes. A Facebook post from Wing's mother says Braelynn is the teen's daughter. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the McPherson Police Department at (620) 245-1200. The department said the case is classified as a runaway.
