GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say a 72-year-old woman has died after a pickup truck she was riding in overturned on a southwest Kansas highway.

The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 50 about six miles east of Garden City. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a westbound Ford F-150 had tire damage that cause the driver to lost control.

The pickup left the roadway and rolled twice, ejecting Guadalupe Adame-Leon, of Schuyler, Nebraska. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The 54-year-old man driving the vehicle and another passenger, a 45-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.

The patrol's online crash log states the driver was the only person wearing a seat belt.
