RILEY, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say a 20-year-old Kansas man has died after his SUV struck a tractor-trailer and overturned in Riley County.

The accident happened at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Highway 77 west of the town of Riley. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Kurtis Anderson was heading west when he swerved into the semi's lane to avoid hitting another vehicle.

After colliding with the semi, Anderson's SUV rolled and came to rest upside down. Anderson, of Green, died at the scene.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
