ON YOUR SIDE GETS ANSWERS: School lunches & immunizations

Posted: Updated:
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

It's back to school time again!

For parents of children in Wichita Public Schools, we noticed some confusion on social media about managing your children's school lunch accounts since there have been changes. Here's the deal, last year fees and lunches were paid through an online portal called My Payments Plus.

While fees for books or childcare will still need to be paid through this site, all lunches have been transitioned to a new system called Titan.

The school district says that Titan offers better services and lot of benefit to parents like setting spending limits and having the ability to move money from one child's account to another child. If you're frustrated with the concept of managing yet another account, the district says they are phasing out My Payments Plus completely so managing multiple accounts is temporary.

Also, there are also changes in school immunization requirements statewide for kindergarten, first, seventh and eleventh graders in the state of Kansas. We've already put together a detailed guide for your convenience.
