Ben Powers visits Wichita before training camp with Baltimore
Wichita's own Ben Powers paid a visit to his hometown on Saturday.
The former Sooner teamed up with the OU Club of Wichita to host a meet and greet at the Advanced Learning Library.
Powers signed autographs and posed for pictures for nearly two hours at the event. The crowd who came out to support him left the offensive lineman touched.
"I had no idea how many people were going to show up and it blew me out of the water with how many people actually showed up," Powers told KAKE. "That's why we wanted to do something like this because there are these supporters and you don't know how many there are and it's awesome. I flew in yesterday. I just want to come back and show all the supporters of Wichita of mine that I've had over the past years that I appreciate them and that I'm thankful for their support."
Ben is spending the next two weeks in Wichita before traveling back to Baltimore for training camp which starts on July 25th.
