WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

We are less than a month away from the 30th Wichita Open teeing off at the Crestview Country Club.

On Tuesday, the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame received a piece of Wichita Open history, a flag with the signature of every winner of the tournament. Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell also officially named the week of June 17th "Wichita Open Week".

During the tournament, tens of thousands of people head to the golf course.

"I think we are not just a golf tournament," said Wichita Open tournament director Roy Turner. "It's the place to be seen. It's the place to be and it's a place to have fun...I try to make it a tournament I'd go to."

The first round of the Wichita Open is on Thursday, June 20th.
