Shockers blow 13 point halftime lead to Temple, fall in OT

Wichita State fell for the third consecutive game on Sunday this time against Temple, 85-81 in overtime.

The Shockers led by 13 at halftime thanks in large part to a 16 point first half for Markis McDuffie.

Temple would send the game to overtime off a Shizz Alston Jr. jumper with 37 seconds remaining in regulation.

In overtime, Alston Jr. would hit a long three with the shot clock winding down and less than a minute to play, to help the Owls leave with a victory.

Markis McDuffie led Wichita State with 24 points, while Samajae Haynes-Jones added 22.

The Shockers next travel to Houston on Saturday for a 7:00 pm tip on the CBS Sports Network.
