Felon arrested on drug, gun charges in Great Bend

GREAT BEND, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police have arrested a 53-year-old man after officers executed a search warrant at his house in Great Bend.

Fred Kopke II was booked in Barton County Jail on Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and felon in possession of firearm. Once deputies were in the home at 180 C South US 281 Highway, they seized two guns and found suspected drugs and paraphernalia. 

Kopke was held on a $10,000 bond.

Kansas Department of Corrections records show Kopke has prior drug and theft convictions.
