KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -
About 20 students were rescued Monday morning after their school bus stalled in high water in south Kansas City.
Danielle Nixon, spokeswoman for the Raytown School District, says the bus carrying 21 students was on its way to Raytown South High School when it stalled in an area flooded by persistent rain that fell in the Kansas City area over the weekend.
Nixon says the district, with the help of Kansas City firefighters, transferred the students to a substitute bus.
