Wins For Kansas: Wear Blue Run To Remember

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Wichita group is honoring the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our nation.

'Wear Blue, Run To Remember' is Wichita's branch of a national organization that holds various runs. This year the group is teaming up with the Prairie Fire Marathon and are dedicating each mile to a fallen soldier. This year a local soldier Chris Norgren is being honored. Norgren was just killed in a helicopter crash in Nepal three years ago.

" I can not imagine if Chris was just forgotten and nobody remembered his sacrifice and it's an honor to do that for these men and women who've given their lives for us that we don't forget any of them," said runner and Wichita chapter organizer Candice Urban.
