WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Lucas Hernandez investigation  has created both National and International headlines, at the center of it - Emily Glass.

Lucas Hernandez's father opens up to Nancy Grace

Lucas Hernandez remains discovered

She was the live-in girlfriend of the boy's father. Police have called her a person of interest in his death.

Shelley Eberhardt was a friend of Glass. She says Glass was under a lot of pressure from all the scrutiny she was under.

"This was all about Lucas Hernandez and people pointing fingers at her because they tried and convicted her before all the facts came out. There are still facts coming out about this case and there are still more facts to come out about this case that people don't know. She never got a chance to tell her story" says Eberhardt.

Dustie Mcelwain helped search for Lucas. She says Glass' death now leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

What's next in Lucas Hernandez case?

"I'm hoping as well that with the notes that come out  it will say what happened and if there is anybody involved in the case. I'm hoping if there is a person they'll come forward as well. They can answer the important stuff anyway" said Mcelwain.

A family spokesperson for Jamie Orr -- Lucas' biological mother is also reacting to this news in a statement saying:

"Today, Emily Glass chose to end her own life. We are deeply shocked and saddened by this turn of events... this is not the ending we would have chosen for Emily. She was the only person on this earth who could tell mus what the last moments of our child's life were like. We wanted answers and we still want justice.
