A Kansas man is lucky, and not just because he had a lottery ticket worth one million dollars.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, cashed in the Mega Millions ticket Monday. Last week the Lincoln County man had stopped in Salina to get gas. He said his brother went in to check the lottery tickets, and apparently dropped the winning Mega Millions ticket.

The store clerk picked up the ticket and scanned it. He then called the store owner to see if they could return the ticket to the owner.

The store owner's son spotted the winner driving an hour later. He flagged the winner down and returned the ticket.

The winning ticket matched all five numbers, but not the Megaball.
