Hutchinson man charged in child porn case

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 30-year-old Hutchinson man is facing federal charges of distributing child pornography. 

U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said Shane Ragsdale is charged with four counts of distributing child pornography through the internet and one count of possession of child pornography.

The U.S. attorney's office did not release details in the case.

If convicted, Ragsdale faces at least five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for each distribution count, and up to 10 years and a fine up to $250,000 on the possession count.

The FBI investigated the case.
