Wichita man sentenced for crash that killed Starkey residents

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A Wichita man has been sentenced to 61 years in prison for a crash that killed two Starkey residents. 

Bret Blevins was sentenced in Sedgwick County District Court this afternoon.  

A jury found Blevins, 56, guilty of all 14 counts, including second degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated battery while DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.   

Blevins was in a car that struck a van carrying Starkey residents.   Dirk MacMillan and Dusty Atterbery were killed.   Starkey offers services for people with intellectual disabilities.
