Police investigate armed robbery at Wichita Walgreens

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police are searching for a man who robbed a Walgreens on the city's southeast side early Friday morning.

Officers were called at around 1:45 a.m. to a robbery at the Walgreens at 5505 East Harry, near Edgemoor. Four employees told arriving officers that the suspect entered the store, pointed a black handgun and took money from the register. 

The suspect was last seen leaving the store on foot. No one was hurt. 

Officer Charley Davidson described the suspect as a 30- to 40-year-old white male. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and an orange ski mask. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
