Magnitude 4.0 earthquake felt in Kansas

HELENA, Okla. (KAKE) -- -

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake in Oklahoma was felt in KAKEland overnight.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

The USGS reported the shaker was located about 12 1/2 miles east of Helena, Oklahoma.

That's in the north central portion of the state, not too far across the Kansas-Oklahoma border and about 123 miles south of Wichita.

No damage or injuries have been reported.
