Scott City Wins 3rd Straight State 3A Title

Four players reached double figures to lead Scott City to a 74-55 victory Saturday over Humboldt in the Kansas Class 3A boys' championship in Hutchinson.

Drew Kite scored 23, Joseph Meyer 20, Trey O'Neil 17 and Bret O'Neil 13 to lead Scott City, which finished the season 25-1.

Scott City never trailed in the game and led by as many as 26 in the fourth quarter.

Humboldt finishes the season with a 25-1 mark. Tanner McNutt led the Cubs with 28 points, while Nathan Whitcomb and Noah Thornbrugh had 12 points each.
