There's a new twist to the controversy over a profane rap song allegedly performed by Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson.

In a voice similar to Johnson's, the rap contains numerous references to the "f" and "n" words. One passage takes aim at Chiefs GM Carl Peterson, an apparent allusion to Johnson's holdout before the start of the season.

Johnson denies the voice is his, and the NFL says it's investigating.

The owner of the music label that operates the MySpace page where the song was posted had told multiple news outlets that the rapper is Johnson, but late today he changed his tune.

Basement Entertainment owner James Tinberg tells The Associated
Press that he lied to those news outlets. He says it's not Johnson's voice, but someone imitating Johnson as part of a publicity stunt to promote his label.
