KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Kansas City Chiefs have released
five players, including Mexican tackle Ramiro Pruneda.
Pruneda was introduced at a news conference last spring when he
was signed out of the Mexican collegiate leagues.
Coach Herm Edwards said at training camp that the 300-pound
Pruneda was working hard but having trouble catching up with
players with more experience.
The Chiefs also released wide receiver Titus Ryan, cornerback
Marcus Maxey, tight end Mike Pinkard and defensive end Chris
Wide receiver Rod Gardner had his contract terminated.
