Kansas State rallied with single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to beat Kansas 5-4 in the opening game of the Big 12 baseball tournament in Oklahoma City.

The No. 4 seeded Wildcats took advantage of two errors and an
RBI single by Carter Jurica to tie the game in the bottom of the
seventh after Kansas scored three times in the top half to take the
lead in Wednesday's game.

In the eighth, a two-out single by Jordan Cruz was followed by
an RBI double from Rob Vaughn for what proved to be the winning
run.

K-State improves to 40-15-1 and fifth-seeded KU falls to 37-20.

James Allen struck out five while shutting out Kansas over the
final two-and-two-thirds innings for the win.
