Kansas reliever Smyth walks home Baylor's winning run

WACO, Texas (AP) -- Kansas reliever Paul Smyth walked Jon
Ringenberg with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to give
Baylor a 4-3 win Friday night.
Smyth (1-3), who walked Adam Hornung to start the inning and
gave up a double to Aaron Miller, had Ringenberg at 2-2 before
throwing two balls to force home pinch runner Paul Miles.
Baylor starter Kendal Volz struck out 12 before serving up the
tying two-run homer to Ryne Price with two outs in the eighth. Tim
Matthews (2-0) then retired four straight for the Bears (17-11, 4-6
Big 12).
Buck Afenir had three hits for Kansas (19-14, 1-6).
