Kansas looking for long run in NCAA tournament

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- The top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks (31-3) open
play in the Midwest Regional tomorrow against Portland State.
Portland State is in the tournament for the first time and is
led by 5-foot-6 guard Jeremiah Dominguez, the team leader in
scoring and assists.
The Vikings (23-9) earned their first trip to the NCAAs by
winning the Big Sky Conference tournament, but Kansas is a 22-point
favorite.
The winner takes on the UNLV-Kent State winner.
The Jayhawks are on a seven-game winning streak and coming off
an impressive win in the conference tournament last weekend.
At least 1,000 fans showed up today for the Jayhawks' workout at
the Qwest Center in Omaha.
