SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Hideo Nomo gave up his first runs of
spring training today but was the winning pitcher as Kansas City
beat San Francisco 15-6.
The 39-year-old Nomo gave up two runs in three innings and has a
2.25 ERA in three starts this spring. Nomo hasn't pitched in the
major leagues since 2005. He didn't pitch last season following
elbow surgery in 2006.
Mark Teahen homered off Giants' starter Barry Zito and Damon
Hollins was 3-for-3 with five RBIs. Ryan Shealy hit third home run
of spring training.
Joakim Soria pitched two shutout innings and Jimmy Gobble
pitched one.
Zito gave up eight runs to take the loss for the Giants.
