WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Matt Braeuer scored 15 points in his first home game back since suffering a concussion in December to help Wichita State to a 65-60 win over Indiana State on Saturday night.
Braeuer, who suffered a concussion on Dec. 29, received a big ovation before the game.
P.J. Couisnard finished with 14 points for the Shockers (10-14, 3-10).
Indiana State (10-13, 5-8 Missouri Valley) lost its fifth straight. The Sycamores' Gabe Moore scored 16 points while Jay Tunnell added 13.
Indian State had a 28-25 lead at halftime.
But Wichita State came back in the second half, taking a 36-34 lead on a layup from Braeuer with 15:58 remaining.
Indiana State then went on a 9-0 run over the next four minutes and led for most of the second half.
The Shockers answered with a 14-3 run that lasted more than five minutes. Braeuer scored six points during that stretch, including a 3-pointer that made gave Wichita State a 56-52 lead with 4:04 remaining.
