The Los Angeles superintendent of schools plans to meet with worried parents from a school where two teachers are facing allegations for lewd acts with young students.

LA Unified School District spokeswoman Monica Carazo says Superintendent John Deasy will meet with parents Monday night at a
high school near Miramonte Elementary.

Carazo also says classes will be canceled at the school on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The closure is related to the arrested teachers, but Carazo was not certain what would take place or whether school staff will be brought in.

Thirty-year veteran teacher Mark Berndt was charged last week with committing lewd acts against 23 students, some as young as 6.

Four days later another teacher, Martin Springer, was arrested on suspicion of fondling two girls in his classroom.
