5-18-07 - The middle school and high school of Winfield were evacuated and students sent home on Friday due to a bomb threat. School administrators say the threating call came in about 8:45 this morning.

The students were taken to a nearby college campus, while police and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the school. Despite rumors to the contrary, the school says nothing was found.

Winfield has dealt with several threats over the past few days.
