Attorney General Steve Six raised more than $203,000 last year for a campaign to hold onto his office in 2010.

More than half of his cash contributions, about $112,000, came from attorneys, law firms or companies that provide specialized services.

Also, about a third of his contributions, or more than $68,000, came from outside Kansas.

Six, a Democrat, filed a campaign finance report this week with the secretary of state's office.

He was appointed attorney general a year ago by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to replace fellow Democrat Paul Morrison, who resigned because of a sex scandal.

Six has not said that he'll run in 2010, but his fundraising is evidence that he plans to do so. No Republican has announced plans to run.
