Hundreds of peanuts have been recalled because of possible contamination.
The recall affects about 3,000 cases of Planters Cocktail peanuts. Parent company, Kraft Foods, said the nuts were possibly exposed to
water not intended for food production.
The peanuts involved are sold in 12 ounce canisters, and Kraft says there are no illnesses reported but the recall is "out of an abundance of caution."
The nuts were manufactured in Suffolk, Va., bear UPC code no. 2900007212 and have an expiration date of Jan 9, 2014.
Consumers who purchased the nuts can return the product for a refund or exchange.
