It's a convention with plenty of ups and downs.
More than 400 roller coaster lovers are in Pittsburgh for the annual meeting of American Coaster Enthusiasts or ACE. The steel city is noted for its wooden roller coasters.
Three of the oldest wooden coasters in the world are in the Pittsburgh area. The convention will be centered at the Kennywood amusement park.
ACE spokesman John Gerard says the best part of coaster conventions is getting to "ride until you are fried."
