A 54-year-old Wichita man who was riding his bicycle last September when he was struck by a car that did not stop, has died of his injuries.

The September accident happened in the early morning hours but was caught on camera by a surveillance camera at a local business.

Police say Albert Pete was riding his bicycle southbound in the 1800 block of South Hydraulic when the driver of a dark colored SUV hit him.

The hit and run has been the subject of a Wichita Police Department Crime Stoppers investigation. Anyone who may have information regarding the hit and run can call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111. As always, the caller may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.

Pete's funeral will be held Wednesday, January 13 at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Wichita. Eldridge Woods Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
