An employee of PAR Electric Contractors was killed Wednesday when he was electrocuted in Colby. PAR Spokesperson Reba Reid says a crew of three workers was doing routine pole replacement when the tragic accident occurred.

The names of the victims have not been released. However, Reid says the man who died was from Council Grove, KS. The other two workers were also hurt, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Reid says the other two workers were from Reading, KS, and Rossville, KS. Both of those employees were flown to a Wichita hospital. One has been treated and released while the remaining worker is still being treated.

"We are conducting a full investigation alongside OSHA," Reid says. "But our thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families during this difficult time."
