A man and a woman have been arrested after a motorcycle chase near downtown Wichita.
It began at Kellogg and Market when an officer noticed a motorcycle traveling east on Harry. Police said the driver refused to stop.
The woman got off the bike at Douglas and Hydraulic, where she was taken into custody. Officers arrested the driver in the 2300 block of E. Douglas after he intentionally crashed the motorcycle.

Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.
A motorcycle chase likely woke at least a few residents of south Wichita and the downtown area up early Wednesday morning. It also shut down a major east-west street for a while.
Emergency dispatchers say the chase began a little after 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Funston and Waco in south Wichita. That's just southwest of where Harry crosses the Arkansas River.
The chase lasted only six minutes before coming to an end near East High School, at the intersection of Douglas and Spruce. The suspect allegedly fired one gunshot before being arrested, but nobody was hurt. Police had to close Douglas between Hydraulic and Grove while they investigated that crime scene.
