Wichita, Kan. -- The next few days could be a challenge, if you have a flight to catch in Wichita. The construction on a new terminal and parking garage is going to affect driving around Mid-Continent Airport.
Because of construction, starting this morning airport managers recommend you arrive at least two hours in advance.
If the weather permits, crews will install piling for the new parking garage. That will put construction equipment very close to the road leading to the current terminal. So you might be diverted around the work, or you even could be stopped for several minutes during maneuvers.
This part of the construction should continue until next Monday. Mid-Continent is making sure this work does *not* occur during the morning rush period. But you can expect this problem from mid-morning through mid-afternoon.
