Wichita Police Investigating After Baby Hospitalized With Skull Fracture

Police are investigating a possible case of child abuse after an 8-month-old boy was admitted to a Wichita hospital with serious injuries.

The boy was admitted to Wesley Medical Center with a skull fracture around 8 p.m. Friday. Sgt. Bruce Watts said it wasn't immediately clear whether the baby was transported by ambulance or private vehicle.

The alleged abuse reportedly took place at a home in the 1200 block of North Harding, near East 13th Street and Oliver.

Sgt. Watts said they have a 16-year-old listed as a possible suspect, but further information about the incident was not released.
