Wichita Police have recovered a host of stolen items from twelve different victims after an alert citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in North Wichita Tuesday morning. The quad cab Ford F150 was parked in the street in the 1400 block of S. Pershing. Lt. Joe Schroeder said the truck had been abandoned and the citizen thought it looked out of place.

When the officer arrived, he noticed a lot of what appeared to be stolen property inside. A quick run of the license tag revealed that the truck and tag had both been reported stolen a few days ago.

"The officer recovered credit cards, social security cards, debit cards, clothing, jewelry, and electronic equipment," Schroeder said. "He identified ten people who had reported their property stolen and another two victims who did not yet know that they were victims."

A suspect has not been identified, but much of the property was returned to the owners.
