Hearing Delayed Again For Suspects In Tabor College Student Death

A preliminary hearing scheduled for two suspects in the death of a Tabor College football player has once again been continued.

The defense requested a continuance for defendants Alton Franklin and DeQuinte Flournoy. Prosecutors did not object and the judge granted the request. The preliminary hearing is now scheduled for December 10.

A preliminary hearing for two suspects in the death of a Tabor College football player is set for today in McPherson County District Court.

Alton Franklin and DeQuinte Flournoy are each charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder in the death last month of 26-year-old Brandon Brown. The redshirt defensive lineman for Tabor died Sept. 22 from injuries he suffered after a fight Sept. 16 in McPherson.

Franklin and Flournoy, former McPherson College football players, are under suspension from the college.
