It happened around 5 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of North Brookfield, which is near 13th and Woodlawn.
Wichita Police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said 911 received several calls from residents in the area about a car in the middle of the street with someone inside who had been shot.
Police arrived on scene and found the victim with a gunshot wound to his arm, sitting inside of a car. He was taken by EMS to Wesley Medical Center with potentially serious injuries, and has since been treated and released.
Monday, police said that three men, ages 17, 28 and 19, went to meet with an 18-year-old man to buy marijuana. But according to police, the three had no intention of paying.
