Wichita City Council Incumbents Hold On To Seats

Incumbent members of the Wichita City Council held onto their seats after Tuesday's election.

In District 1, Lavonta Williams defeated Dave Thomas with a vote of 1,540 to 611.

District 3 was a little closer with James Clendenin edging out Clinton Coen with a vote of 926 to 811

Janet Miller easily defeated her challenger, Marty Mork with more than 76% of the vote, 1,786 to 525.

The District 4 seat was for the unexpired term of Michael O'Donnell, who resigned from the council last year after being elected to the Kansas Senate. In that race, Jeff Blubaugh narrowly defeated Joshua Blick, 1,100 to 1,060.
