Police say two men walked into a local mall Thursday morning and walked out with a safe full of jewelry from one of the mall's kiosks.

For three years, Rhonda Junaid has run her own jewelry store inside Towne West Mall.

"It's what I wanted to do. I knew it'd be hard, I knew it wouldn't be easy but I like working for myself,” Junaid said.

Junaid says one of the hardest parts of being a business owner has been dealing with thieves.

"Our very first was a smash and go, our second year was a snatch and go,” Junaid said.

Rhonda's store was just burglarized for the third time.

Police say when the mall opened at 7 AM to let mall walkers in, two men came in with a moving dolly and left with Junaid's entire safe. It was filled with gold, silver, and diamond jewelry worth thousands of dollars.

"And actually a mall walker confronted them and asked them what they were doing, and they told the mall walker they were moving the stuff over to Towne East,” Junaid said.

Rhonda says she's worked hard to build her business from the ground up and says it hurts to see so much of it gone in minutes.

"You work long hours, you don't have many vacations, you don't have many days off; so you put a part of yourself into the business. When you get robbed, people take a part of you,” Junaid said.

Half of the display cases at Towne West jewelers are empty and the inside of the kiosk is a mess. But Rhonda Junaid says this latest run in with thieves won't stop her from opening back up for business.

"This is what I’m meant to be so I’m not going to stop just because some idiot decides to steal off me,” Junaid said.

The two men were seen leaving in an older model, four door black Chevy with no hub caps. If you have any information call Crimestoppers at 316-267-2111.
