Wichita Police say a bomb threat at a local store may not be an isolated incident.

Someone called the Walmart store at 501 E. Pawnee Thursday afternoon and said he wanted money taken to the parking lot. The caller said if his demand wasn't met bombs he placed inside the store would explode. Although no money was taken outside the store was evacuated. No explosives were found.

Wichita Police said a robbery at the QuikTrip at Harry & Edgemoor last week may be connected. In that case a man pulled up to the gas pump and asked for assistance. When a worker arrived, the man handed the worker a box that he said contained explosives. The man then demanded money.

Police said these types of crimes are unique, and they are asking for help from the government.
