A federal mediator will be called in to help end the stalemate between negotiators for Bombardier Learjet and the International Association Of Machinists & Aerospace Workers. The announcement came today from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
Bombardier Learjet machinists rejected the company's contract offer last month. They walked off the job October 8th.
A statement released by the Mediation service said, “Because of the sensitivity of these negotiations, in keeping with our past custom and practice, and the agreement between the parties, the FMCS and the parties will refrain from any public comment until further notice.”
