A 28-year-old man is in custody after threatening a Wichita McDonald's employee over a fish sandwich.
It began shortly after 1 a.m. today at the McDonald's restaurant in the 3400 block of South Hydraulic. According to police, the suspect walked up to the drive-thru and asked for a fish sandwich, but the employee said he couldn't get one. That's when the suspect reportedly threatened to kill the 23-year-old employee with a knife, and then walked away.
The employee called 911, and police officers were able to locate a suspect nearby. He was taken to the Sedgwick County Jail.
