A woman suffered serious burns in a fire possibly caused by a meth lab in Butler County.
The fire broke out shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday at a mobile home lot in the 1100 block of southeast Bluesteam in El Dorado.
Crews found a detached shed on fire, and 42-year-old Tammy Souder with extensive burns. She was taken to Via Christi St. Francis for treatment. "It's a very volatile situation when you're cooking meth, and apparently it did flash," said Butler County Sheriff Kelly Herzet.
After it was extinguished, firefighters noticed a strong chemical smell and called for additional assistance. They found many ingredients used to make methamphetamine.
Sheriff Herzet said they are looking for Wayne Souder. They believe he left the scene and is considered a suspect.
