Police: Suspect sought in deadly KC crash has Wichita ties

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri are looking for a suspect in a fatal hit and run case who has ties to Wichita.

Officers are searching for 21-year-old Tarey Lamont Johnson. He's currently wanted on two felony warrants for involuntary manslaughter in a double fatality crash that happened last year.

In the early morning hours of August 11, 2013 police responded to a hit and run accident at 31st and Euclid Avenue in Kansas City. In one of the cars, two people died and another was hurt.

The driver of the other car, believed to be Johnson, got out and ran away.

Officers believe he's in the Kansas City area, but also say he has ties to Wichita.
